In response to high industry demand, the deadline for entries in the 2019 edition of the Housewares Innovation Awards has been extended to Friday 12 October. Innovative suppliers and creative retailers from across the vibrant housewares sector are encouraged to perfect and submit their entries via the new quick & easy form, available on the Housewares Innovation Awards website, before the extended deadline.

The ‘Britain’s Best’ awards available to housewares retailers in 2019 include: Independent Department Store; Instore Demonstrations; Multiple Housewares Retailer; Online Retailer; Staff Training; Wholesaler; Window Display; Retailer Service; Family Business; Garden Centre; Housewares Retail Buyer; Housewares Retail Website and Independent Cookshop.
How can your business benefit from entering?
As an established and recognised scheme, the benefits of winning a Housewares Innovation Award extend far beyond just receiving a trophy.
Winning companies and individuals join ranks with industry heavyweights in an exclusive ‘Hall of Fame’, and receive an independent stamp of approval that can prove to be hugely advantageous in the market.
Helen Simpson, marketing manager for the UK and Ireland at KitchenAid – which is a previous winner at the Housewares Innovation Awards and sponsor of this year’s Britain’s Best Independent Department Store award – echoes this sentiment: “Established to recognise the best retailers and suppliers in the industry, the Awards not only celebrate established businesses but the rising stars of the future as well.
“It’s important to enter such a high profile industry awards programme and have your work judged by an expert panel. Success will help you raise your profile which will go a long way to attract new business.”
Companies can also secure media coverage and see productivity improve, with increased employee motivation and morale. Plus, the benefits of entering the Awards come into effect before the scheme even reaches the ceremony.
Every single entry is reviewed by a specially selected judging panel, made up of figures from major retailers and suppliers – serving as a unique way to get your products or business in front of key decision makers. The retailer judging panel will gather on Tuesday 6 November, followed by the supplier judging process on Thursday 8 November.
